COMMONWEALTH MOBILE ORAL HEALTH SERVICES,LLC

For over twenty years we have been providing portable oral health services to Head Start Programs,  Public School Systems, Massachusetts special school adolescent populations, as well as to Department of Youth Services  [ DYS], Department of Social Services [ DSS], and Department of Mental Health [DMH] programs in Massachusetts.  Currently we serve over one hundred and fifty [150] sites in more then fifty [50] communities statewide.

                 Our service includes  Oral Hygiene Instruction, preventive dentistry including exam with treatment plan, cleaning, fluoride application, x-rays, preventive sealants, emergency treatment on a regular basis, and referral service.  We also routinely perform restorative services (fillings), and in specified  programs, minor endodontic procedures, the replacement of teeth, and minor oral surgery.

                  Our service in the DYS and DSS population  has been provided with oversight and guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health`s  Office of Oral Health from 1981-2008. The program was founded to provide children in the Commonwealth who were designated as victims of Oral Health disparities with a suitable Oral Health alternative in the form of the portable dental home. It was also created to minimize the costs to programs associated with transportation issues and to provide accesss to dental services for children with MassHealth as their dental insurance.  Most  of the children we see have Medicaid. Our systems providers and analysts are familiar with the MassHealth regulations and system.
