TIPS FOR ORAL HYGIENE
CMOHS is proud and excited to be involved in many Oral Health partnerships throughout the state of Massachusetts in order to further reduce the Oral Health disparities of vulnerable children throughout the state.  Working together with other well-established, Massachusetts based Oral Health programs gives us an added strength in promoting good oral hygiene and comprehensive oral health services to the uninsured and the underinsured throughout the state.

CMOHS-Tufts University Community Hygiene Program
Together, CMOHS and Tufts provides full service, comprehensive care to children in head starts throughout the state.  The Tufts hygienists bring an extra component of creative oral hygiene education sessions, including puppet shows and story telling prior to the dental visit, increasing the children's comfort level with the dentist.  http//www.enews.tufts.edu/focus/45/2008/03/21/OneSmileataTime - 20k -

CMOHS-Boston SMART SMILES
This is a collaborative effort of the CMOHS dental team, Boston University School of Dental Medicine, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Forsyth School of Hygiene and Harvard University in the Boston Public School systems.  It's aim is to promote fluoride use and sealants in children who would normally not have access to dental care in the second and third grade.  Our comprehensive dental services provide an added benefit to this goal as we provide comprehensive dental services to the students in all of the grades.

CMOHS-Vineyard SMILES
CMOHS has been very proud and excited to be able to join with the Vineyard SMILES program and to send our dentists out to Martha's Vineyard several times per month to see the children in their schools.  They are able to receive comprehensive services from us where otherwise they have no or little access to dental care on the island.  http//www.mvtimes.com/news/2006/12/07/island_dental_program.php - 22k -
